im catching this movie right now!! so addicted to it. the 5 ladies in the poster  are the king's wife. not just em, they are many more. so kelian.. they have to share same husband, defend themselves against evil plot. the first one in the pic is hua fei. although she very evil and kill other concubine, she also very kelian. the king dont want her to get pregnant to prevent her elder brother to gather force and snatch the throne, and so he offer her a 'special" scent without her knowing that she will become infertile for long term usage. in the end, she kill herself by banging the wall after she know the truth. can see that she really love the king.. her selfishness lead her to do many wrong things without guilt.

the second lady is hui gui ren. she is a kind, caring, gentle lady. think every guy like this kind of girl right? anyway, she fell into hua fei trap and was imprison in her own home order by the king. because of the imprisonment, she give up on the king. whenever her sister got into trouble, she will panick and think of ways to help. she got to know wen shi shu, a physician through zhen huan and fell in love with him after she saw how affectionate he is towards zhen huan. as they are drunk and sad, they had one night stand. due to that night, she was pregnant. to hide the secret, so she slept with king to make everyone believe that she carry the king's child. in the end, she died after labour.

the third lady, zhen huan is the main character in this show. she was very pretty and the king like her at first sight. in the beginning, she was very gentle and kind. the king like her alot and keep pamper her. it gain jealousy among all the concubines and many tried to harm her. she had her first miscarriage, imprison in her house, had her second child and left the king the third day after labour. she stay in a temple and the nuns bully her too. she fall sick and was kick out from the temple. guo jun wang, the seventeenth brother of the king, fall in love with her and take care of her during that period. zhen huan was touched, fall in love with him and was pregnant with him. at that time, the king send guo jun wang away on mission and zhen huan said she will wait for his return. however, after few months, he did not return and was told by wen shi shu that he passed away because his boat sank in the sea. zhen huan was devastated but was determine to have the child born to the world and so she made up a plot, to meet up the king, slept with him and claim her child belong to the king. poor zhen huan haf to do all these because she doesnt want the child to be fatherless and poor. who knows that when the king order zhen huan to return back, guo jun wang return. OMG! what a twist.. zhen huan cant go back to guo jun wang anymore. so sad... T.T

the fourth lady is an ling rong. she was gentle in the beginning but she was jealous of zhen huan therefore she joined force with empress. she was so fake towards zhen huan. hate her to the max. cos she was not like hua fei or any other concubine that show hate toward zhen huan directly. she is like a fox, always pretending by showing kindness. underneath, she used dirty plot to make zhen huan miscarriage. zhen huan treat her like own sister. how can she do that!! she always like to compare herself with zhen huan and want to be the best. anyway, she also died in the end.. if she join force with zhen huan, she also wont end up in such stage.

the last lady is huang hou. she is also like an ling rong. always pretending. she even kill her own sister to gain the throne. evil queen!! her dirty plots  was only discover at the end of the drama.

i like this drama alot. i seldom watch china drama unless its very very popular. the last china drama i watch is 步步惊心. thumb up also!! i will watch the sequence after i finish 後宮甄嬛傳. hope it is nice too.
